Punjab govt for job creation for youth

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that technical education was his priority as in the forthcoming Annual Development Programme, a heavy amount has been allocated for the job creation of the technical youth.

Addressing the TEVTA EXPO 2011 on Wednesday, Shahbaz said that job loan programme with the support of Akuwat will be launched soon. He also announced awards and cash prizes for the position holders of the students of Technical and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and Punjab Board of Technical Education from this year.Shahbaz Sharif said that the technical education is his priority and the position holders of the technical education will be given guard of honour in the same way as it was given to the students of arts and humanities.

The chief minister said that he wanted to organise a conference in which participants from industry, agriculture, academia and entrepreneurs would sit together and devise a plan for the economic prosperity of the country, which will bring revolution through technical education.
